Do we need to use micro powder for mica grinding?
Mica is a general term for mica minerals and is one of the main rock forming minerals. Its crystal form has a glassy luster and its thin sections have elasticity. Its types mainly include biotite, phlogopite, muscovite, lithium mica, sericite, etc. The most commonly used in industry is muscovite, which is widely used in the building materials industry, fire protection industry, fire extinguishing agents, welding rods, plastics, electrical insulation, papermaking, asphalt paper, rubber, pearl pigment and other chemical industries.
Synthetic mica, also known as fluorophlogopite, is produced by crystallization of chemical raw materials through high-temperature melting and cooling. It has many superior properties compared to natural mica, such as temperature resistance of up to 1200 ℃, good electrical insulation, acid and alkali resistance, transparency, separability, and elasticity. It is an important non-metallic insulation material for modern industries and high-tech industries such as motors, electrical appliances, electronics, and aviation.
Mica powder can be produced using the Dawn Heavy Industry MW ring roller micro powder mill. After processing the high-performance synthetic mica, it is mainly used as a diaphragm material for solar photovoltaic panels and lithium batteries.
