Process flow of barite powder production

Barite is an important non-metallic mineral raw material with a wide range of industrial applications. At present, most barite ores have low grades and are closely associated with other metallic and non-metallic ores, which affects their industrial utilization value. Therefore, before application, it is necessary to perform deep processing on the barite.

Barite is a very important mineral resource, and its processing technology involves washing, screening, crushing, grading and desliming the raw ore of barite. Then, through the jigging and beneficiation process, high-quality concentrate can be obtained, with a product grade of over 88%. Barite ore is brittle and fragile, so in the crushing process, we recommend using a jaw crusher to avoid using a counterattack or hammer crusher to crush barite and produce a large amount of fine ore.

After crushing, a washing or screening process is set up. After washing and screening, the barite ore enters the jigging washing process, which can effectively discard the waste rock associated with the barite but with a smaller specific gravity, and obtain a larger specific gravity barite. Subsequently, it is necessary to carry out dewatering operations on the concentrate and tailings of the jigger, and the dehydrated materials can be directly stored or transported.

After dehydration, barite can enter the grinding process. Generally, the grinding of barite is done by dry grinding. Different grinding equipment is used according to the different requirements of the grinding fineness. For example, if the fineness requirement is within 300, it can be ground by a ball mill. If the fineness exceeds 300 mesh, it needs to be processed by a ultra-fine grinding machine.
